My Experience With The Aroma Freedom Technique

Let’s chat the basics……….What Is The Aroma Freedom Technique? The Aroma Freedom Technique or AFT uses the power of scent to gently shift awareness away from negative thoughts, feelings, and memories, and to initiate a positive outlook and attitude.

This is exactly what I have been looking to add to my life…….it can become so easy to get caught up in the BS and the negative thought patterns that sometimes, it seems extremely hard to see the clear path of positivity that is sometimes shining bright right in front of us……..and once I sat down and listened to her instructions………it was like a breathe of fresh air……..a weight had been lifted from my shoulders………this my friends was what I am referring to as clarity. Clarity of Mind, Clarity Of Spirit, and Clarity Of My Soul.

The Sacred Art Of Letting Go! How as human beings with all the things happening around us are we able and capable to let things go? The answer came to me today as I sat and listened to a wonderful friend of mine. The answer to this question, after I followed her instructions, was as easy as eating a piece of double fudge chocolate cake…………this I am quite sure of.

This my friends is the Aroma Freedom Technique

Today I was actually wondering what I was going to write about and just how I was going to show up in your inbox. That was before I recalled that this little lady was going to give a session on how to do the Aroma Free Technique.

The beauty of this technique is that it uses Young Living Essential Oils… favorite oils due to their Seed To Seal Guarantee……………………

During this session we use Three Young Living Essential Oils

1.Stress Away – Contain the unique stress-relieving combination of Lime and Cedarwood essential oils. With an aroma that is the perfect blend of tropical and citrus, Stress Away is uniquely relaxing and comforting. This natural solution was created to combat normal stresses that creep into everyday life, making it the perfect addition to your purse, car, or office.

2.Frankincense – The ancient Egyptians used the oil found in the wild-crafted resin of Boswellia carteri trees in Kenya to promote younger, fresher looking skin. Frankincense is also known for its sweet, warm, balsamic aroma with calming properties that can increase spirituality and inner strength.

3.Lavender – Steam distilled from the flowering plants grown at the Young Living farms in Simiane-la-Rotonde, France, and Mona, Utah, lavender is the most versatile essential oil. Its refreshing, relaxing scent has balancing properties that also bring a sense of calm.

Here we go!!!! The first thing she asked us to do, was to think about what in our lives in this very moment was causing us any stress, grief, anything that was worrying us at this very moment. She invited us to close our eyes and think about that one thing.

She then invited us to again close our eyes and attach an emotion to this thing we were stressed or worrying about………… emotion for this worry or stress was Afraid………………..your emotion may be different but that was exactly what mine was looking like,

We where then asked to identify where in our body we were feeling the pain. Closing your eyes and scanning your body to see where the pain was coming up from………………………..for me, my answer was my back as this morning it had a little bit of a knot in it…………….nothing that these essential oils can’t handle.

Lastly, we were again asked to close our eyes and pin point the exact negative thought that we were having……….what was it, that we were telling ourselves about the stress,,,,,the worry,,,,,,the emotion? For me…..that negative though was the thought that maybe I will miss something………………….something will be forgotten.

The last step of this process was to place this blend of Stress Away, Frankincense and Lavender into our hands and cup it around our nose and inhale deeply and exhale slowly……………until the negative thought or emotion were gone.

I can honestly say that when I sat in the stillness, listening to the birds chirping away outside…….with my eyes closed…… did not take me long to inhale the deepest inhale that I have possibly ever encountered and when I exhaled deeply………there was almost a little faint hum coming from my breathe…….I took this to be a good sign.

This is how I knew that I had successfully conquered what was causing me worry, stress and possibly even a touch of anxiety. The other thing that I noticed when I did the AFT, was the fact, that, I thought the pain was coming from my back as it was tender, turns out as I sat inhaling and exhaling, the pain in my body was actually coming from my neck………..while I found that to be a bit odd at first, I am not completely surprised.

After completing this session with my friend………she suggested doing this on a daily basis………..I can truly say that if I was to do this on a daily basis, I would see some great results, this is something I am sure of!
